New Artist Scott Waters

We’re stoked to announce that Scott Waters will be joining the team at Union from January.

Scott has spent the past 10 years tattooing in Palmerston North, most recently working out of his own studio, Main Street Tattoo.

Hands down one of the best ornamental and geometric tattoo artists in New Zealand, Scott’s work is sharp, clean, and incredibly precise. His tattoos feature delicate dotwork, soft grey shading, and tight, confident linework. Every design flows seamlessly with the contours of the body, working with the muscles to create pieces that look as though they’ve always belonged there.

Alys will be working with us from November 9th for a limited time, originally from London she has been making waves across the pond in the Sydney Tattoo scene.

If you like pop culture, Anime and japanese inspired designs with super clean line work and delicate shading then you’re going to love her work. She has lots of available designs to browse or she’s more than happy to draw you custom piece.

Halloween Flash Weekend

Our annual Halloween flash extravaganza is back this year and will be running for 2 days!

Friday 31st October and Saturday 1st November, 10.30 – late each day.

We’ll have some killer deals on tattoos AND piercing, with 12 Artists working over the weekend. The shop will be decorated, there will be fancy dress, trick or treating plus everyone who turns up will get a free halloween activity sheet.

Friday the 13th celebration

We had so much fun at last years Friday the 13th Celebration that we’re going to do it all again this coming Friday the 13th June at The Underworld Tavern.

Craigy Lee and Jim burton will be slaying some special Friday the 13th Flash designs at Slasher prices, there will be themed drinks, Spooky Facepainting, Jason Vorhees Photo Booth, Friday the 13th part VI: Jason Lives movie screen and some spot prizes. Best of all entry is free!

Ten Years of Union

Well its been a hell of a decade, 2025 marks ten years of union and we have heaps of events and cool things planned throughout the year to celebrate this big milestone.

Our first event is a 10th birthday flash weekend which will be held on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd February. We have 6 different artists working each day, expect old faces returning for the celebration alongside our regular crew. We also have an outdoor market, faceprinting, drinks, food from our mates at the Underworld tavern and DJs both days.

Wellington tattoo convention 2024

The wellington tattoo convention is back at the old Dominion museum 5-6-7 July.

Most of the team will be working at the show and will be doing walk up flash, swing by the Union Booth to have a look through the flash, we’ll also have some new march at the show.
